Blake Island Rendezvous
July 6-8, 2007
big boats at NW anchorage; camp at NW corner of island
Friday Potluck dinner at beach camp, bring dish to share. Enjoy sea stories and SMores around the beach campfire.
Big boats: if helping with hauling gear, meet at noon on dock at West Seattles Don Armeni boat launch ramp. Small boats: begin boat setup at 11am, load your camping gear onto Kirby and Robins 31 trimaran at noon.
1pm Small boats sail through Elliott Bay, along Alki Beach, then across the shipping lanes to Blake Island. At Blake Island, anchor or pitch tents, pay a small camping fee to State Park.
Saturday Breakfast at Triffanys, fine food for all at beach camp.
Bring a hand-held GPS for a geo-cache treasure hunt along the island trails. NWMA will hide pirate swag for you to find using GPS!
Race around Blake Island! You choose which direction to go. Beach start, finish line is back on the beach, first to kiss the troll wins the trollphy!
Informal potluck dinner on beach. Visit around the beach campfire or enjoy the Salmon dinner/Indian dance show at Tillicum Village Longhouse (info 206-933-8600 www.tillicumvillage.com )
Sunday Prizes awarded for sailing and for sillyness. Small boats stow camping gear on trimaran. 1pm sail back.

Dinghies available for trips from anchorage to shore. Cat Tracks available for moving small boats on beach. Food and ice available at little island store, Salmon Dinner To Go available from Tillicum Village.

Exit at Harbor Avenue.
Go north to Don Armeni Boat Ramp.
